Outcomes from NASEM’s Advancing Antiracism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in STEMM Organizations Report

Event Dates
March 30, 2023, All day

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) appointed an interdisciplinary committee to develop a consensus report on research and evidence from lived experience on the ways in which racism (at the individual level and conditions that create systemic barriers) impedes careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (STEMM) for historically marginalized racial and ethnic groups.

During this seminar, the committee cochairs presented findings from the consensus report, including recommendations for actionable antiracist mechanisms to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
